About the Author

I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and then Dubuque, Iowa. Many of my earliest memories involve reading. In elementary school I started spinning my own stories.

 

After briefly considering a career in journalism I studied Social Work at Iowa State University. While there I went to a roller-skating party and met the man who became my husband. After we married and he  graduated I followed him to Texas.

Some time later, after graduating from the University of Texas at Dallas, I worked as a caseworker until I my first of three sons was born. Then, to challenge my mind and preserve my sanity, I turned to writing stories again.

After writing historical romance and romantic suspense novels that will never see the light of day, I wrote a contemporary romance with a cowboy hero. That became Big City Cowboy, my first sale to Harlequin.

Now that my sons have left our Dallas nest, when I'm not writing, I work on home improvement projects, fosters dogs, and visit Texas wineries with my husband.​
